In the current job market more and more employers are looking for potential employees with a minimum of level 2 English and Math’s qualifications. Entrance to further education and university normally requires at least level 2 Functional Skills in Math’s and English, if not GCSE. Our courses are designed to help you develop your skills, build your confidence and improve your job prospects.
During this course you will learn:
Reading: How writers present their viewpoint and perspectives
Writing: How to write for differing audiences and purposes
Classes are available from complete beginners to GCSE.
These courses are FREE
You will need to attend a pre – course assessment interview.
Please bring proof of any English qualifications you have achieved.
You will have the opportunity to work towards a Functional Skills qualification.
Classes are held in the morning, afternoon or evening and are twice a week.
Your course will include:

• Listening skills
• Reading
• Writing
• Spelling, grammar and punctuation
• Help with form filling
