Southend Adult Community College (SACC) is Southend-on-Sea City Council’s provider of education and training for young people (16–19), adults aged 19+, and learners with SEND. Each year, we support over 2,000 learners through inclusive, high-quality programmes that build skills, boost confidence, and support progression into further learning, work, or independent living.
From part-time Community Learning courses that support wellbeing and personal growth, to Family Learning and Community Outreach across the borough, we make learning accessible and relevant to people at every stage of life.
We offer a wide range of accredited courses, including English, maths, digital skills (ICT), ESOL, employability, and industry-recognised vocational qualifications. For young people aged 16+, our full-time Pathways Programme provides hands-on, career-focused learning.

✨ Work Experience Week is Underway! ✨ This week, our Pathways learners have stepped beyond the classroom and into the world of work - gaining real-life experience, building confidence, and developing the skills that will support their next steps. We are incredibly proud to see our learners placed with a wide range of fantastic local employers, many of whom are directly linked to their course areas. These opportunities allow our students to explore career pathways, understand workplace expectations, and grow both personally and professionally. A huge thank you to all of the incredible companies working alongside us to support our learners.
