Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator

This nationally recognised Level 3 Diploma is designed for experienced Early Years practitioners who are ready to take the next step in their childcare career. The qualification meets all Government and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements and qualifies learners to work as fully competent Early Years Educators.

You’ll develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in:

  • Child development and safeguarding

  • Planning and assessment

  • Leading play-based learning activities

  • Supporting children’s wellbeing and development

  • Working collaboratively with families and colleagues

This qualification supports your progression into senior roles and opens up new opportunities for promotion within Early Years settings, such as room leader, deputy, or nursery manager pathways.


Who is this course for?

  • Adults aged 19+

  • Must be working in an Early Years setting for at least 10 hours per week

  • Must have the support of their employer and be able to:

    • Shadow senior educators

    • Complete key worker duties

    • Contribute to planning and tracking children’s development

This course is ideal for those committed to making a lasting difference in the early stages of a child’s learning journey.

    • Free if you earn below £25,750 per year (funding available)

    • Free if this is your first Level 3 qualification

    • £5,184 if not eligible for funding – payment plans available to help spread the cost
