Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
This recognised Level 2 Diploma is designed for those working or volunteering in Early Years settings such as nurseries, preschools, or reception classes. The qualification meets all government and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements, preparing you to work confidently with children from birth to 5 years old.
You’ll develop essential knowledge and practical skills in areas such as:
Child development and play-based learning
Safeguarding, health and safety, and promoting wellbeing
Supporting communication and language
Building relationships with children and families
This course gives you the foundation you need to work effectively as an Early Years Practitioner and support children’s learning and development in line with national standards.
Who is this course for?
Adults aged 19+
Must be working or volunteering in an Early Years setting for at least 6 hours per week
Ideal for those starting a career in childcare or aiming to progress into a Level 3 Early Years Educator role
