Courses
Developing Independence
Our curriculum is designed to build the skills students need to grow in confidence and independence, both at home and in the community. It includes:
Home Routines – learning everyday tasks such as cleaning, making a bed, and managing household responsibilities.
Personal Care – developing independence in hygiene and self-care through tailored support.
Travel Training – practising safe, supported travel to gain confidence and new skills.
Money Management – understanding the value of money, making transactions, and learning to budget.
Cookery – preparing and cooking healthy, affordable meals while gaining transferable life and workplace skills.
Following Instructions – building listening, sequencing, and task-completion skills to support learning and independence.

Cookery Skills
Our cookery lessons teach students how to prepare and cook healthy, affordable meals in a home environment. These sessions not only encourage independence but also provide transferable skills that can be applied in the workplace.
Travel Training
Travel education sessions give students a safe and supportive space to practice independent travel, build confidence, and learn new skills. We help them overcome barriers by equipping them with the tools they need to take part fully in their community and to prepare for adulthood and employment.
Daily Living Skills
Students are supported to develop independence at home by learning everyday routines such as making and unmaking a bed, hoovering, answering the telephone and taking a message, and managing laundry. These activities also strengthen executive functioning skills including planning, organisation, problem-solving, time management, and task initiation.

Personal Care
Through tailored teaching approaches, students are encouraged to complete personal care tasks as independently as possible. They gain essential skills such as brushing teeth, washing hands, and other hygiene routines, helping them become more self-sufficient in meeting their own needs.
Money Management
Practical, community-based and classroom activities help students understand the value of money, carry out simple transactions, and calculate change. As they progress, they build skills in budgeting and learn to apply this knowledge to real-life situations.
