This short, accredited course is perfect for adults aged 19+ who are already in a volunteering role and want to gain a recognised qualification. Over six evening sessions, you’ll explore the key skills and responsibilities involved in volunteering across different sectors.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Learn about the expectations and values of volunteering

• Develop communication and teamwork skills

• Take part in discussions with other volunteers from a range of roles and organisations

This course not only enhances your current volunteer experience but also adds value to your CV and can support progression into employment or further training.

• Adults aged 19+

• Anyone volunteering in their community, school, care setting, charity, or other organisation

• Those looking to add a formal qualification to their volunteering experience

• Duration: 6-week evening course (1 session per week)

• Start date: From September onwards

• Cost:

  • Free if you earn below £25,750 per year (funding available)

  • £144 if not eligible for funding – payment plans available to help spread the cost
