Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care

This nationally recognised Level 3 Diploma is designed for those already working in adult care and taking on—or preparing to take on—lead or senior responsibilities. The course supports career progression within the sector, helping you build the knowledge and skills needed for supervisory roles across a range of adult care settings.

You’ll study key areas such as:

  • Leadership and team working

  • Safeguarding and protection

  • Person-centred care

  • Effective communication

  • Supporting others in the workplace

The course also includes optional units to tailor learning to your specific role and responsibilities.


Who is this course for?

  • Adults aged 19+

  • Those working in an adult care setting for at least 10 hours per week

  • Learners with the support of their employer, and currently carrying out—or with the opportunity to carry out—lead or senior responsibilities

  • Those able to attend college on alternate weeks

This qualification provides a pathway into senior care roles and further study in leadership or specialist care.

    • Free if you earn below £25,750 per year (funding available)

    • Free if this is your first Level 3 qualification

    • £2,622 if not eligible for funding – payment plans available to help spread the cost
