Southend Adult Community College (SACC) is Southend-on-Sea City Council’s provider of education and training for young people (16–19), adults aged 19+, and learners with SEND. Each year, we support over 2,000 learners through inclusive, high-quality programmes that build skills, boost confidence, and support progression into further learning, work, or independent living.

From part-time Community Learning courses that support wellbeing and personal growth, to Family Learning and Community Outreach across the borough, we make learning accessible and relevant to people at every stage of life.

We offer a wide range of accredited courses, including English, maths, digital skills (ICT), ESOL, employability, and industry-recognised vocational qualifications. For young people aged 16+, our full-time Pathways Programme provides hands-on, career-focused learning.

🎅💫 Day 9 of SACC’s 12 Days of Christmas! 💫🎅 What a day it’s been! 11 December 2025 marked Christmas Jumper Day and our staff and students absolutely sleigh-ed it with the most brilliant, bold, and bonkers jumpers! 🎄🧶✨ From sparkles and snowflakes to tinsel-covered masterpieces, today was bursting with festive spirit and plenty of giggles. 😄🎅 And if you didn’t have a jumper? 🎉 Celebrating the Success of Our King’s Trust Learners! 🎉 This week, we were proud to return to Porters Civic House & the Mayor’s Parlour to celebrate the completion of our learners on the 12-week King’s Trust Team Programme. The evening was all about recognising what our learners have achieved – from building confidence and developing new skills to forming strong friendships and taking positive steps towards their future. Completing this programme is a huge accomplishment, and every learner should be incredibly proud of how far they’ve come. 🌟 Celebrating once again in such a special setting, with the Mayor of Southend-on-Sea in attendance, made the occasion even more meaningful and gave our learners the recognition they truly deserve.
