Southend Adult Community College (SACC) is Southend-on-Sea City Council’s provider of education and training for young people (16–19), adults aged 19+, and learners with SEND. Each year, we support over 2,000 learners through inclusive, high-quality programmes that build skills, boost confidence, and support progression into further learning, work, or independent living.
From part-time Community Learning courses that support wellbeing and personal growth, to Family Learning and Community Outreach across the borough, we make learning accessible and relevant to people at every stage of life.
We offer a wide range of accredited courses, including English, maths, digital skills (ICT), ESOL, employability, and industry-recognised vocational qualifications. For young people aged 16+, our full-time Pathways Programme provides hands-on, career-focused learning.

🧠✨ Business Pathways: Teamwork Challenge! ✨🧠 This morning our some of our Business Pathways Programme students took on a classic team-building task - the free-standing paper tower challenge! With only paper and a time limit, they had to plan, communicate, problem-solve, and work together to create the tallest structure possible. Teamwork is a key part of the business world, and today they proved they can collaborate under pressure, share ideas, and have a good laugh along the way! 🎨 Children In Need Day Fun! 🐻💛 Our Skills for Independent Living learners brought brilliant energy to today’s Children in Need celebrations. They spent their morning painting colourful Pudsey-themed rocks, each one completely unique and full of personality. The focus and creativity they put into their designs were brilliant to see. We even had one learner who’s a massive JLS fan create an amazing JLS - themed Pudsey rock - complete with all the flair you’d expect! 💜🎶 And a special shoutout to one learner who came in wearing a wicked Pudsey Bear jumper - definitely the outfit of the day! 🐻✨ Amazing creativity, amazing energy, and all for an amazing cause. 💛 #childreninneed #childreninneed2025 #community #CommunitySpirit #communitysupport #communitymatters #fun
