GCSE Results Day – 12th August 2021.
This year, you will receive your results on Thursday 12th August.
Results are published from 8.30am and will be available, at the college, until 5.30pm.
Please do not ask your Tutor to provide you with an estimated or actual grade, before Results day.
Our prime concern is keeping everyone safe during the pandemic; as such, we will be contacting you in advance, to arrange a time slot for you to collect your results on the 12th August.
The time slots for Results collection, from the Centre, will be as follows:
8.30am – 10.00am
10.30am – 1.00pm
1.30pm – 3.00pm
3.30pm – 5.30pm
This will allow us to effectively manage how many visitors we have in one area at a time and maintain a clean and safe environment.
If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or are self-isolating on 12th August you must not attend the college to collect your results. Please email email@example.com to advise us that you will need your results to be emailed.
Alternatively, if you would prefer not to, or cannot attend the college to collect your results, we are offering you the option to ‘opt in’ to receive your results via email, only.
If you wish to receive your results via email on the morning of 12th August, rather than visit the college, it is important that you advise the Exams department of this, in advance.
To opt in to receive your results via email only, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 16th July 2021.
If we do not hear from you by 16th July, we will call you shortly thereafter to arrange your collection time slot with you.
We will also be offering an opportunity for you to spend time with our Information Advice and Guidance Advisors, to discuss your next steps; which we can arrange when we call.
How is my grade determined?
The College has assessed the standard at which you have performed, based only on what you have been taught, so that we could determine your grade.
Judgements have been based on a range of evidence, where available, relating to the subject content that your Tutor has delivered, either in the classroom or via remote learning.
Where evidence was available, we have used it to inform our judgement about your performance.
Evidence may have included work already completed, mock exam results, homework or in-class tests. All reasonable adjustments, where applicable, were considered in the Centre’s judgement.
The Centre’s grade judgement and Learners’ evidence has been reviewed and agreed by a team of Internal Quality Assurers, before grades were submitted to the Exam Board.
The Exam Board have requested a sample of evidence from us, to review and approve the Centre’s judgement, to check for validity and fairness.

If results are not collected by 5.30pm on 12th August, your results will be automatically posted to the address we hold for you on file, first class post.
It is important that we hold the most up to date contact information for you.
If you have changed your contact information or are unsure that we hold the correct details please contact email@example.com or call 01702 445700 (option1), at your earliest opportunity.
We wish you the very best of luck.
