A pop-up ceramics exhibition in the heart of Leigh opened for the second time this Saturday 11th October in association with Faux Workshop and Gallery and Southend Adult Community College.

Following on from the students’ success of their first venture in January, they have now developed work specifically for this show.

Seven students from the College’s ceramics department have progressed to a professional standard creating exclusive original pieces for sale and display.

After a successful Private View on Friday 1oth October, students have received outstanding feedback on the quality of work produced from the College and interest from people inspired to enrol.

The exhibition is now open daily until Thursday 16th October 10:30am-5:00pm and offers a unique viewing experience in a creative and friendly atmosphere.

Students took a key role in organising, displaying and staffing the space building on their professional experience for future ventures including the Southend Adult Community College Handmade Fair in Leigh this November.

The pop-up exhibition and the Handmade Fair are part of Southend Adult Community College’s commitment to honouring the local art and creative community in Leigh and to a new generation of upcoming artists one of whom has been selected for the Leigh Art Trail.

Southend Adult Community College recently announced it is sponsoring two local events in Leigh in 2014, the Leigh Art Trail and the Hademade Fair on the 22nd November.
