We are delighted to announce that the first of our DTLLS students have achieved the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualification.

Offered for the first time by the College in 2013 the two year DTLLS course has achieved a 100% success rate of all those students who completed.

The course is for anyone working as or planning to become a teacher/trainer in the further, adult or continuing education sector and can lead to achieving QTLS through the Education and Training Foundation.

Speaking of the success, course tutor Amber Bardell, said “This has been the most challenging but rewarding course that I have taught in my career. I am so proud of my students and the fact that they have shown passion and commitment to their learning and achieving their qualification. I also think that it is a huge reflection on the group’s dedication to developing their teaching roles that they will be starting their QTLS in September 2015”.

Successful student, Scott MacDonald said “I really enjoyed this course and my time at SACC. My tutor was excellent and a credit to the college; making lessons enjoyable even during the more challenging units. I’m looking to enrol on another course here after the excellent service I have received”.

Although the DTLLS qualification is no longer offered by City and Guilds, we are pleased to announce that the new Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training is available for enrolment for courses starting 9th September.

This course can be completed in a year and is being offered at the highly competitive price of £1,500 (interest free payment plan available).
