With the growth in fine dining nationally and locally there is a growing need for qualified kitchen staff and chefs. Apprentices have the creative ability and stamina to work in the hectic kitchen environment. A Catering or Professional Chef Apprentice will be based in the workplace and visited by an Assessor to gather evidence for their qualifications. They must have at least 20% of their working week spent on 'off the job training' usually at college for 1 day per week.

Apprenticeships are available to both new and existing members of staff; existing staff you want to up skill or new staff you want to train.

A range of apprenticeship frameworks are suitable for staff in a variety of roles within different environments in Foundation, Advanced and Higher frameworks.
