Managing Flash cookies
The most common types of cookies are HTTP cookies. You can control these using the methods described above. As well as HTTP cookies, there are other varieties of cookies including Flash Local Stored Objects (LSOs). Some parts of our website [including the front page shuffle panels] use LSOs.

Southend Adult Community College does not recommend turning off this functionality because some aspects of our website will not function correctly.

If you'd like to control the use of Flash cookies on your computer, Adobe's website offers tools to do this. If you use Mozilla Firefox to browse the internet, you can use an add-on to find and delete Flash cookies.

PS3 & Xbox
When using a PS3 or Xbox, files will be stored on the hard drive by Southend Adult Community College for the following purposes: analytics, language settings and log in details. These files are essential for the site to operate smoothly and to ensure you can complete enrolments and transactions. It is not currently possible to opt out or remove these files from either device.

Apple iOS Devices
Apple's iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices store files on themselves for the following purposes: analytics, language settings and log in details. These files are essential to the operation of the site. It is not currently possible to opt out or remove these files from the devices without deleting your browsing history.

You can opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics; this will apply to all websites; not just the Southend Adult Community College website.
