You will come to college one day a week to gain your qualifications and spend the rest of your week in your work setting. Apprenticeships are a great way to earn while you learn!
Intermediate Children and Young Peoples Workforce
This framework includes
- Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce
- Level 1 English
- Level 1 Maths
- Level 1 ICT
You will learn about
- Child development
- Planning for learning and play
- Protecting children from harm
- Managing children's behaviour
- Diet and personal care for babies and children
The intermediate apprenticeship usually lasts for 16 months.
Advanced Children and Young Peoples Workforce (Early Years Educator)
This framework includes
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years workforce (Early Years Educator)
- Level 2 ICT
You must have achieved English and Maths GCSE grade A*-C before you begin this apprenticeship.
You will study
- Child development, theory and observations
- Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities
- Planning educational activities and record keeping
- Working with parents and other professionals
- You will also achieve an LSCB Safeguarding Level 2 Certificate
The advanced apprenticeship usually lasts for 18 months.
