With the growth in fine dining nationally and locally there is a growing need for qualified kitchen staff and chefs. Apprentices have the creative ability and stamina to work in the hectic kitchen environment.

A Catering or Professional Chef Apprentice will be based in the workplace and visited by an Assessor to gather evidence for their qualifications. You must have at least 20% of your working week spent on 'off the job training' usually at college for 1 day per week.

The Catering and Professional Chef (Professional Cookery) Intermediate Apprenticeship takes 16 months and consist of:

Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery
